We are excited to announce the highly anticipated return of one of the most unforgettable music festivals offered today, Music on the Mountaintop. Though a slight change of the name and date, Music on the Mountaintop is still one of the most eclectic and ecologically driven musical events, offering first class entertainment combined with a positive environmental message!

We’re excited to welcome back Sam Bush and long time festival great and musical genius, Keller Williams to headline this year’s festival. For a list of the complete lineup, click here

First Annual Music on the Mountain- August 23, 2008

The first ever green festival in Boone, NC took the High Country by surprise. What started as a class project at Appalachian State University (link here) grew into one of the largest musical event the town had seen in nearly a decade. Nearly 2,500 attendees enjoyed a full day of top musical talent from the local and national scene as well as interactive educational exhibits promoting environmental stewardship provided by over 15 non-profits from across the state of North Carolina. Music on the Mountain was entertainment for people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether it was enjoying the Grammy-winning dobro of Jerry Douglas, grubbing down on the local barbeque and burgers, or practicing your skills on the 30-foot climbing wall, there was certainly never a dull moment down at the Old Fair Grounds.
